In a chance encounter, I met Sarah at the school in which she teaches. I was there capturing photography of Jessica Gusar of Live In Mosaic's mosaic workshop and the art teacher there asked me about my photography. When I told her that I shoot wedding photography, she immediately said that I had to meet Sarah because she was getting married the next month.
After meeting Sarah that day, and communicating a lot via email, I became very excited to capture photography for her and Hicham's wedding day.
The two of them met on New Year's Eve and quickly became enamored with each other. With shared joys of reading, traveling, and their dogs they had so many things in common that they said it was almost immediate that they knew it felt right to be together.
When asked what they loved about each other, Sarah said that it was Hicham's intelligence, loyalty, and generosity that she loved. Hicham said that Sarah was the most genuine person in the world. The two of them both said it was each other's kindness they also brought them to love each other so much. After being around them both, I can testify to how kind they both truly are.
Sarah and Hicham got married in a small ceremony with just immediate family at her brother Andrew and sister-in-law Lamya's house in Newton, MA. It was such a lovely ceremony that focused on bringing together the two families and honoring the love that Sarah and Hicham have together.
One of the most special things on their wedding day was having Hicham's family there, who flew all the way over from Morocco. In addition to their presence which was incredibly special, Sarah also wore a special golden bracelet from Morocco, and after the ceremony immediate family was treated to biscuits and cookies brought over from Morocco as well. It was such a lovely way to tie together the two families.
After the ceremony, we all headed to their reception site at Bistro Du Midi in Boston, MA. I have been lucky enough to go there for dinner before, but was still amazed at how beautiful it became as a reception venue. Bistro du Midi provided the guests with tons of delicious appetizers and entrees and then after all of the guests ate, the dancing started.
It started first with a few guests clapping and dancing along to a song that they recognized, and then all of a sudden there would be a song on that got everyone up, dancing their hearts out like professionals. Their friends and family were so good at dancing that they could give everyone on "Dancing With The Stars" a run for their money.
It was a perfect ending for a lovely wedding, Sarah and Hicham were just glowing from being around each other, and their family and friends. Congratulations again Sarah and Hicham!! Thank you both so much for letting me capture your beautiful wedding day :)
