Christina and JP got up early on a late October morning to meet me at Bay Farm Conservation in Duxbury, MA. This was my first time coming to this location (which by the way was completely beautiful), and my first time meeting the two of them. Christina and I had just been communicating over email prior to this, so I was so glad to finally put a face with a name. These two were so sweet, and so easy-going. They made this such a fun, and easy session. This was by far one of the most unique engagement sessions. I told Christina that I loved having pets involved in the sessions, and they also included one of their chickens. So we had their dog Inde and one of their chickens along for the engagement session, it was so much fun and made the session so memorable. I cannot wait to work with these two to capture their wedding in July, I know it will be another memorable and beautiful day :)
I met Jennifer and Dave on a warm, and extremely windy day in early September. Despite the wind, we got lucky with the gorgeous golden hour light. The Esplanade was a perfect place for Jennifer and Dave's engagement session.
We were able to capture photos with some of the Boston skyline, the Charles River, and the nature of the Esplanade. These two are adorable, and clearly love each other so much. They are definitely each other's yin and yang, fitting together so well as a couple. We spent our time walking to a few different areas, starting off near the Community Boating building and then heading over across some of the little bridges on the Esplanade. These two were so ready for anything, including dancing on the docks near the river.
It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy just thinking of the lovely September engagement session, even though it's currently pretty cold in Boston. I think I'll just be here re-living this engagement session until it's warm again. I'm so so excited for your wedding in April Jennifer and Dave, cannot wait to capture more of your love story!!
This adorable couple with two sweet dogs started off my season of wedding photography a couple of weeks ago with a beautiful shoot on Castle Island in Boston, Massachusetts. While I have lived in the Boston area for just about 10 years now, that was my first time out to Castle Island. It was one of the first really gorgeous days of the year, so we had beautiful weather to shoot with as well as an ideal coast location.
When Matt and Noel asked if they could bring their dogs along, I didn't even hesitate to say yes. I am a huge dog person. My family's dog growing up was a Samoyed named Lily, and now I get to enjoy being around my parents' dog, a Golden Retriever named Nola. So for me if there's any chance that I can get to be around dogs, I will take it. Especially so if I get to take beautiful photos of the dogs and their owners. So these two Cockerspaniels, Taylor and Wilbur, were great to have along for the session. Towards the end, I was even able to get some great photos of the dogs basking in the setting sunlight.
The origin story of how I met Matt and Noel dates back to my first wedding of last year, they were guests at David and Sameer's wedding in Provincetown, Massachusetts on June 20th, 2015. I actually took a boat over to the ceremony with the two of them, and shot a few good photos of them with David and Sameer. Who could have known that almost a year later, I would be shooting their engagement photos and then their wedding in a few months.
It was apparent right away how in love these two are, as well as how well they compliment and care for each other. I am so excited to capture their wedding day in just a little over two months!!
